The staff at the WFC worked hard Thursday, Friday and Saturday getting all of our boats on and off the water as well as all of our classroom materials inside ready for Hurricane Irene. Mike an Morgan headed up the efforts for all the boats and did everything possible to ensure that all of our boats were there to be re-rigged and ready for sailing on Monday morning. While the rest of the staff hunkered down and storm proofed all of our educational materials making sure nothing was damaged by possible flood waters.
Great Job everyone and we are ready for everyone to get back out on the water learning and enjoying the beautiful waters of Oyster Bay!

I took the kids sailing Sunday afternoon. The wind was gusting a just-right six or seven knots. Much appreciation to the staff and friends who ensured that the boats were in shape (and in one piece!).
